about

During the COVID19 lockdown we hear a lot of stories from our friends about their relationships with alcohol.
Some drink way more during this time and some hardly drink anymore. Social drinkers reveal themselves.

11minuteslate belongs to another category. During lockdown we work so much (cause who or which other appointments will tell you when to stop?🤷🏻‍♀️) that we feel often that overloaded that it is like there is a bottle in our whisky🥃😅

We did write a song about it! Altough it was more than 5 years ago we have to admit that the song is still really relevant for us.
Last year we recorded tis duo version of the song

Great visual artist Fiona Lutjenhuis drew this amazing comic inspired by the song!

lyrics

There’s a bottle in my whisky

So I decided to escape
from that soundscape
and try out the higher lands to be my medicine
whisky I breathe
because there were

too many people
I was afraid to be alone
too many thoughts
with destination unknown
trying to move away from that crowd
but than the noise became even more loud

I wish I could do nothing
without doing something
will some of the nothing
become something, too

what if everything happens
while sitting here alone
like sheep who try to break through the bars

Forget the time, and let yourself get carried away by the engaging stories and the thrilling compositions of this musical duo.
They take you on a trip through the ages: Sometimes you find yourself at the bar of a smoky bluescafé in the sixties and a lightyear later you are transported to the future with undiscovered sounds expressed in surprising rhapsodies.
